Howdy, I’m Gemma Folsom—a multidisciplinary, published artist and visual storyteller based in Austin, Texas (for now). While photography is my first love, I also work in the graphic design, visual arts, and videography realm. My creative practice is rooted in nature, community, and personal storytelling, and I’m passionate about inspiring connection and reflection through everything I make.
I have a master's degree in mass communications from Texas Tech University, where I focus on visual productions that highlight outdoor recreation and the people who venture there. In my free time, you’ll find me with my nose buried in a book, laughing until my belly hurts with friends, exploring nearby wilderness areas, or testing out new recipes in the kitchen!

Videographer | Storyteller | Outdoor Creative
Nature, outdoor recreation, and simply spending time outside have always been passions of mine, so being able to share what this world has to offer is deeply important to me. In the past few years, I’ve learned how vital it is to protect this planet for future generations.
Since graduating with a degree in Creative Media Industries, I’ve created films to support grants in higher education, produced adventure travel documentaries, been published in magazines, and worked as a television producer for Texas Parks and Wildlife. I now work full-time as a freelance videographer, photographer, and editor.
